The CCBu20 is a compact dual-channel controller designed for driving and controlling CEDRAT TECHNOLOGIES piezoelectric mechanisms such as DTT15XS, DTT35XS, DTT60SM, P-FSM150S, XY25XS and XY400M. It is widely used in optronic cameras and ground laser systems, but also increasingly for space, in LEO In-Orbit-Demonstration although it is not space qualified.
In the context of CONECS project lead par CEDRAT TECHNOLGIES and in collaboration with MICROTEC SAS, a space version of the CCBu20, named CCBu20-NS has been developed for LEO New Space applications, inheriting the CCBu20 topology. This product is designed to withstand harsh space environments (radiation, vibrations) and to offer lifetime up to 7 years. Linear amplifiers supply up to 170Vpp to piezo actuators. It features, a strain gauge conditioner, closed-loop control, TM/TC interfaces, and fast SPI communication. Ideal for driving CTEC piezo actuators. Additional performances of the CCBu20-NS driving the P-FSM150S are in progress and are quite satisfying. The today achieved resolution is about 0.03% of the Full Stroke so giving a SNR -70db. The produced current is able to provide up to 500Hz bandwidth @ 4% stroke which is fine for managing the micro vibrations onboard the satellite.
