ATLID EarthCARE takes to the skies

On Tuesday, May 28, SpaceX successfully launched the EarthCARE satellite into orbit aboard a Falcon 9 rocket. This groundbreaking mission aims to unravel the mysteries of clouds and their impact on climate. EarthCARE, a collaborative project between the European Space Agency (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), will provide unprecedented insights into cloud formation, composition, and their role in Earth’s climate system, enhancing our understanding and ability to predict weather and climate change.

In the context of the ATLID instrument embedded in the EarthCARE mission, Cedrat Technologies was sub-contracted by Sodern to design, manufacture and test the performances of Beam Steering Mechanism flights models 🛰.

We are proud to have contributed to the EarthCARE project, highlighting our commitment to eco-responsibility, and advancing sustainable technologies 🌍🙏🏽.
